Only the crow
flies today
dark against the sky
daring the wind to tango
between ridge and cloud.
Only the crow

steals my breath
in a whirling dive

flies today
dark against the sky
daring the wind to tango
between ridge and cloud.
Only the crow
lifts my eyes up
steals my breath
in a whirling dive
of bravery.

My chickens fight a constant battle against the crows trying to steal their food – its the one thing that unites my chickens – against the outside invader! Mmm……
